I have the worst commute on the planet. I work in LA, which is reason enough, but I drive 30 miles to and from work
everyday on top of mind-numbing traffic. Yeah, the WORST.
My only saving grace is my in-car entertainment which ranges from James Corden-esque karaoke to podcasts. Podcasts are the G.O.A.T. because they make me feel like I’m having a conversation among friends and they’re captivating enough that the 110 freeway’s bumper to bumper traffic doesn’t seem so bad.
Here’s a list of my favorites:
This podcast is a must for self-care and it’s hilarious. Fran, Dustin, and Assante look into all things mental health and hygiene “cause who in the hell wants a musty brain?” Their episode Teenage Dream is a perfect blend of self-reflection and hilarity.
Chris Denson interviews innovative minds in all fields. Want to leave your car feeling like you can accomplish any and everything? This is the podcast for you. The Daymond John episode has been my favorite yet (he drops so many gems!).
I cry with laughter hearing Tabria & Mindy’s stories about their life and dating. Their rawness is endearing and you’ll feel like you’re in their room laughing with them.
Kid Fury & Crissle keep me updated on all of the most newsworthy mess (pop culture news) and they rant about the same things I do. It’s a match made in heaven.
Honorable Mention: Bon Appetit
Random, I know, but how can I not highlight the podcast that taught me how to make the perfect pasta?!
Try one of these on your next commute and tell me what you think! If you have any other podcast suggestions I’d love to hear them! I need to add a few more to my arsenal.
Not a fan of podcasts? Listen to my February playlist instead.
