Let’s gets started. First off, I just want to say that this episode was just SO MUCH.
So many bad decisions tonight #InsecureHBO

Here are the 5 standout moments from Insecure Season 2, Episode 4:
1. The Dialogue
The conversations Issa and her girls have from the crib to Kiss and Grind are LITERALLY me and my friends. This is just reason #2634 why Insecure is so damn relatable. The writers capture our dialogue and every nuance perfectly.
2. Open Marriage? Says Who?
I would need to see the Open Marriage Contract, discuss specific terms and stipulations and even then I wouldn’t be able to participate. It’s just TOO weird. And open marriage or not, shouldn’t friends be off-limits? While Molly’s getting caught up, I’m observing this debacle as just another reason why I don’t look up to anyone’s relationship as #goals *sips tea*.
3. Now Lawrence, I coulda told you that was going to happen, boo :/
So now y’all know. Along with the ample liquor selection, you can go to Bristol Farms to get your groceries paid for and a racist nightcap thrown in too! 😉 The minute those girls said he looked like “Craig” he should’ve bowed out but Lawrence was too pressed too quick and ignored all the telltale fetish signs.

4. Issa & Daniel
Oh, Issa. Her entire Kiss and Grind experience was cringeworthy. Getting curved by an old fling and then played in front of said fling has to be top ten most embarrassing things ever. With that being said, Daniel and Issa looked kinda cute sitting together at the end. What do you guys think: Could Issa and Daniel be starting something real, or was Issa just taking so many Ls that night she was caught at a vulnerable time. If the latter is the case, both she and Lawrence were feeling vulnerable and chose to handle their emotions differently. Issa went to Daniel, and Lawrence found himself back at The Dunes.
Lawrence done peaked in his hoeness, and now he sitting outside The Dunes looking like a Dum Dum. 😒 #InsecureHBO

5. Male friendships
Question for men: Can you be real with your friends? I’m starting to notice the stark difference between Issa’s relationship with Molly and Lawrence’s relationship with Chad. Issa can talk to Molly about anything and even when she doesn’t, Molly knows what’s up. Lawrence, however, doesn’t seem to feel comfortable to share his true feelings with Chad. It also seems like Chad doesn’t truly care either. I wouldn’t say their friendship is superficial since he’s there for him in other ways (i.e. a roof over his head) but emotional convos aren’t a part of their relationship. I want Lawrence to be able to share how he’s truly feeling with someone! Maybe Molly can pass him the info to her therapist 👀.
