The Art and Culture edit is a monthly series that highlights anything that sparks
the artsy chick in me from Los Angeles and beyond. Today, I’m highlighting Latin Sounds at LACMA
What: Latin Sounds takes place every Saturday of the summer on the lawn behind “Levitated Mass” (that big rock) at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Sounds from Brazil, Mexico, Cuba and more are highlighted every weekend and there’s lots of seating and space to dance!
Who: This weekend, we heard sounds from Oscar Hernandez of the grammy-winning Salsa and Latin jazz band, Spanish Harlem Renaissance.
My Recommendation: Bring a blanket, food and wine and have a picnic! Make sure to get there before 5:00PM, grassy space fills up quickly.
