My very first post on this site was about a music festival, and it was a HOT MESS . Despite my last festival experience, I went into the Soulection Experience with an open mind and open ears. Soulection had their first-ever festival this Saturday and I’m happy to say it was an #EXTRAEBONY Approved success ✔️
The Line Up:
DJs like Abjo, Joe Kay, and Sango along with artists including Smino, Steve Lacy, and Sabrina Claudio (my personal fave 💓) performed via two stages at the Shrine Expo Hall in LA. NO ONE disappointed.
It had all the makings of a great time: Top-tier vendors (catered by Delicious pizza and Comfort LA. ), Amazing (and prompt!) acts, and ample air conditioning. The only problem was that there was NO seating. After about the 5th hour I felt like my feet were going to fall off. Despite the seating/resting station oversight, this event was perfect for making new friends. I came with my brother but left with a whole host of new connections, group photos, and afterparty moves. Check out some of my favorite tweets of the night below and stay tuned for the next concert review!
